Written and set during the rise of Hitler’s Germany, Watch on the Rhine by Lillian Hellman, is a play about an American family, suddenly awakened to the danger of fascism and the threat to their liberty. Even though Hellman’s powerful drama was first produced over 80 years ago, its frightening and compelling message is just as relevant today. Directed by John Gancar (The Amish Project, 1776), the WCR Center for the Arts will host three performances of Watch on the Rhine featuring a cast of Fall Festival favorites.
Watch on The Rhine is presented by a special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc.
